With blog platforms Movable Type and WordPress adding social-networking features to their software, it was only a matter of time before Google's Blogger did the same.

A post on the official Blogger blog earlier this week announced that users would soon be able to display their "followers"--other Blogger members who have subscribed to them.
The optional feature--along with a notification on blog owners' "dashboards" of how many people have subscribed to their blogs through Blogger--will be rolled out in the next few weeks. A new tab on the dashboard, called "Blogs I'm Following," lets Blogger users keep track of updates to the blogs on their subscription list.

The problem with these sorts of features is that they're inherently limited to readers whose "following" is directly tied to the Blogger software and its members, so it will reflect only a slice of readers. A follower widget (or gadget, as Google calls them) claiming 21 followers only refers to Blogger members, not to the overall number of people reading the blog, which could make the owners of smaller blogs get a bit image-conscious.

But with its Google ownership, Blogger is tying the new following feature into some of its other properties, like Google Reader and the forthcoming Google Friend Connect. The "Blogs I'm Following" tab, for example, can be imported into Google Reader.(Source: the social)

Can you believe that?! An email was sent to me saying the I was banned because of not having certain blog qualities they are looking. And for once I thought that entrecard was for everyone (bloggers). Here is the copy of the email sent to me.

And what does "Rule 6" says? Is says "Excessive ads: Blogs that contain excessive advertising, affiliate links, and those classified as splogs (spam blogs) will be removed." This is what I have to ask you my dear readers, Do you really think that this blog is a "splog"?

Well this is what I have to say to them, I don't mind removing me in their list. Why? Because the traffic that this blog acquires from them is very minimal, and a big percentage comes from search engines (organic traffic). And those clicks that come from entrecard is just blog traffic and maybe a very little number of them are blog readers not as to search engine traffic.

Lesson learned: Don't expect much on others to increase your traffic. It is you who will build up your own blog traffic from the contents you post on your blog.

Top Affiliate Challenge is a TV show showcasing 12 Internet Marketers from around the world will be competing for a "Link In A Basket". This is a Real-Time TV show, so you can observe what they are currently doing. There are 3 competing teams namely Team Pepperjam, Team Toolbarn and Team XY7.com. And the Team Leaders are, for Pepperjam - Ken McArthur, for Toolbarn - Shoemoney and for Team XY7.com - its John Chow. Personally my vote goes to John Chow, because John is seemingly the top contender for the challenge. Some updates of the challenge - Lately Team Toolbarn gave up the challenge even before the challenge has started, team leader said "OK, let’s face it. John Chow and Team XY7.COM is too strong. They got this thing in the bag. I don’t even know why I should bother to try and beat them." But now they're up and going now in fact, they have a new offer now. Click here.

As you may have know that a typhoon having an international name "Fengshen" or local name "Frank" struck the Philippines leaving people dead and a ferry sunk, some of our fellow bloggers living in the most devastated areas are also affected. On of them is Juler, he is seeking for your help by donating with whatever you can. Lets us be united in the times of crisis and help one another. The proceeds will be used to finance the renovations of the damage done by the landslide as well as reparation of the rooftop, which is damage was well. Thank you and God Bless you!!

This is what Bloggista and Joliber Mapiles believes so they are planning to launch a new group. Because they believe that there is power in number, they are inviting a number of 10 people who wants to join this Core Group and will have discussion on Friday, 13th of June at a dinner hosted by Bloggista and Joliber. Time and venue will be communicated to those who are interested in joining.

Some details:

Why organizing a new group?

We need a group that encompasses bloggers from all walks of life. Everyone can be a member (even if you’re not a Filipino - as long as you’re willing to make some sponsorship on the group’s outreach activities - LOL). Seriously, doesn’t matter if you blog on Blogger or Wordpress, pro or newbie, blogging in English, Tagalog, or any other dialect - you are welcome as member. Membership will be divided into two categories:

* Locals for bloggers within Metro Manila and nearby areas who can regularly attend group activities and programs.

* Patrons for bloggers who are outside Metro Manila or outside the Philippines but still you want to participate on the group’s advocacies.

Even if you are already a member of another Blogger Group, you are most welcomed to join.

Here is my official list of blog that posted their opinions about the ZTE/NBN dead(scam/scandal). Some of them said there is a hole in Lozada's statement. Some of them are confused with whats going on with the government. Most of them said that they want the President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo or PGMA to resign in her position. And one of them posted that some scenes in the issue are a remake of Hollywood Movies and he named it as Bollywood Movies. For example the President GMA has a movie called "President Evil", and Jun Lozada and CHED Chairman Romulo Neri also has the movie title instead of Brokeback Mountain it is name Kickback Mountain, and many more. Adn to start off with the list, I will say that is it in a random order and I search them using Google

I read this post from Pinoy Blogero that this entrecard is benefecial to your blog. Why? Because it will boost your traffic and also others. So it is good for all bloggers.

This is the post I read from Pinoy Blogero.

"Over the past few weeks I have been receiving some questions about Entrecard from fellow pinoy bloggers. A lot of them are actually skeptical over the new blogging phenomenon that has been sweeping the blogosphere. Some were concerned on whether Entrecard is effective in getting lots of traffic while others wanted to know if the service is really free.

To save myself from answering the same questions over and over again, I have made a mini-FAQ introducing the basic concept of Entrecard along with the answers to the questions that Pinoy bloggers have.

Hope this helps!

What is Entrecard?
Entrecard is a free advertising exchange network where bloggers can advertise on any blog found in the network for free. It is one of those blogging phenomenon that is quickly sweeping the blogosphere nowadays."

As a testimonial, it already helped my traffic increase. So try it on your own and don't forget to drop card here...
